Student Activities

At RU there is always plenty to do and then some. You will find a plethora of educational and fun-filled activities, approximately 160 student clubs or organizations to join, sporting events to cheer on the Highlanders and so much more.   The student activities staff say that "All this is planned to let you know that you are important to us and that we want you to consider RU your home-away-from-home."

So how do you find out about everything going on? One source is the Student Events Interactive Calendar. It is a great source that includes movies, theater, music performances, meetings, concerts, lectures, dances, novelty events, competitions, intramural's, sports clubs games, etc. 

As a Highlander, you will want to support our athletic teams!  RU student athletes complete in the NCAA Division 1 Big South Conference, and in 2009, our teams brought home XXX Big South Conference Championships.  And, you don't have to be a Division 1 athlete to participate on a team.  RU fielded over 400 intramural teams last year, and the Radford Rugby Club won the 2008 Division II National Championship.
