Community Service

The Center for Academic Engagement and Community Partnerships provides opportunities for you to connect with your community.  The goal of the Center is for every RU student to develop a portfolio of skills and real world work experiences, through community engagement, to become an informed citizen of the world.  These same skills and knowledge of the real world, will also enhance your future  academic and career opportunities.

Here are some options:

• Become a Highlander in Action Intern or enroll in the Students for Positive Change courses,  (COED 261)
• Enroll in internship experiences that can convert to possible full time employment options. (Testimonials of students who have completed internships) 
• Volunteer with a community organization and begin to build skills and accomplishments
• Participate in a study abroad learning and working adventure
